Solemnity of the Sacred Heart – Parish & School Announcement

Dear Saint Bernard Parish and School Community,

In union with the Church in the United States and following the guidance of the Archdiocese of Omaha, we will mark this special year of consecration to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with a parish-wide celebration later this month.

On Thursday, June 25, we will gather as one family of faith for:

  • 8:00 a.m. Mass – During this Mass, we will celebrate the Consecration of Saint Bernard Parish to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. All parishioners, school families, and friends are warmly invited to attend as we entrust our community, our ministries, and our mission to the loving Heart of Christ.
  • 5:00 p.m. Eucharistic Adoration and Prayers of Consecration – In the church, we will have a holy hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayers of consecration, and Benediction. This time of worship will allow us to deepen our response to the Archdiocesan invitation to renew devotion to the Heart of Jesus and to pray for our parish, our school, and the whole Archdiocese.

Immediately following Benediction, we will move to the school gym for a parish and school “Meet and Greet” to welcome our new principal, Dr. Roseanne Williby, along with our new teachers and staff. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together in gratitude and support for our school’s mission under the protection and guidance of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

All are invited. We particularly encourage families, students, and all parishioners to join us for both the liturgical celebrations and the reception, as together we seek to respond generously to this great and unique moment of grace for our parish and the wider Church.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

An Important Update on Parish Staff and Leadership

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Saint Bernard Parish and School

Grace and peace to each of you. With grateful heart, I write to share some important updates concerning our parish and school staff, and to explain the direction we are taking as we continue to build up this community together. These changes have been made thoughtfully and prayerfully, and I want to communicate them with the transparency and care that our community deserves.
