Classes for adult Christians to grow in their faith are offered many times during the year at St. Bernard and various places throughout the city. Watch the Sunday bulletin for dates and times.

• A Bible Study Group meets at various times throughout the year, led by Dick Mori.  

• A Sunday Scripture Reflection group meets on Friday at 9:00Am in the Clairvaux Center.  

• Religious Formation Program
  St. Bernard Parish offers a religious formation program for Catholic children who attend public schools in 1^st through 8^th grades. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from September to the end of April. These classes are one and one half-hour beginning at 6:30PM. For registration or questions, call JoAnne at 556-1679. • Preschool/Kindergarten Religious Formation Program
  The Young Disciples Preschool is for 3, 4 and 5 year old children and meets in the Clairvaux Center .  Catechists will watch and instruct your child as you attend Mass at 10:00 AM. There is no pre-registration as this is a service we offer on a drop-in basis. If you have any questions, call JoAnne at 556-1679. 

• CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF CHILDREN - CIC
  Children of school-age who have not been baptized or have been baptized in another faith and would like to learn about the Catholic faith, would join the Children’s Initiation.  The children and their parents build a relationship with God as they learn the basic philosophy of the Catholic Church. • RCIA
  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which we welcome new members into the Catholic Church. The sessions begin in late summer and continue until Pentecost. Another important part of the RCIA program is the role of the sponsor, who is willing to share what the Catholic Faith means to them.  If you are interested in learning more about the faith or being a sponsor, contact the rectory, 551-0269, for more information.

  Catholics Returning Home is a six-week series offered by St. Bernard Parish for non-practicing Catholics who are considering a return to the Church. These sessions are held at various times throughout the year. For more information, you can contact the rectory.

There is a new service out of the U.S. Conference of Catholics communications office. It’s streaming video from their website http://www.atlanticvideo.com/clients/ccom/ It is being called “CCC-TV”. Their kick-off series is on Advent, and the first two sessions. (one on gratitude, for Thanksgiving, and the second one on the first week of Advent) are available right now.
